The following wheat and egg allergy alert is from CFIA on Sept. 28, 2004.

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) is warning people with allergies to wheat or eggs not to consume certain meat products sold by Perl's Meat Products Ltd. The affected products contain wheat and egg which are not declared on the label. This alert is of concern to those individuals who have allergies to wheat or eggs.
The following Perl's Meat Products Ltd. products, are affected by this alert:

All Best Before dates are affected by this alert. The manufacturer, Perl's Meat Products Ltd., Toronto, Ontario is voluntarily recalling the affected products from the marketplace. These products have been distributed in Ontario. Consumption of these products may cause a serious or life-threatening reaction in persons with allergies to wheat or eggs. There have been no reported illnesses associated with the consumption of these products.
