The following kashrus notice is from the Chicago Rabbinical Council on February 20, 2008.
This notice is meant to clarify the policy of the cRc regarding honey. All honey sold in retail or foodservice packaging requires a reliable hashgacha.
This is due to the fact that the kashrus status of the bottling process for these honeys may be compromised due to the possibility of non-kosher products being packaged on the same equipment.
