The following revised kashrus alert is from the Chicago Rabbinical Council on November 18, 2008.
Several varieties of frozen fruits and vegetables under the “Nature’s Blessed” label, packed by Coloma Foods, Coloma, Michigan, bear an unauthorized cRc. They include Brussel Sprouts, Broccoli, Cauliflower, Raspberries and Asparagus.
These products, although kosher in character, were not checked for insects. The cRc does not recommend any attempt be made to check for insects on these products, as it is very difficult to properly do so by anyone other than a trained mashgiach.
Other fruits and vegetables packed by Coloma Foods bearing the cRc, other than those listed above, are indeed kosher certified.
