The following shmitta alert is from cRc on April 2, 2009.

For those that do not rely on the Heter Mechira, please be aware that the persimmons from Israel are from shemittah and past the time of biur so you cannot eat them, buy them, return them or do anything else with them other than let them rot and then throw them out.
