US nut company John B. Sanfilippo & Son has recalled its two lines in its Baking Classics range due to possible contamination with Listeria monocytogenes. The voluntary recall includes Walnut Halves and Pieces packaged in 16oz bags and Baking Classics brand Nut Topping packaged in 2oz bags. To date, the company said it has not received any reports of illnesses in connection with the items. The Baking Classics brand Nut Topping has a UPC code of 04113002059 and a best before date of 28 September 2010. Walnut Halves and Pieces have a UPC code of 04113001174 and a best before date of 24 September 2010.
