Living Foods Inc. said Tuesday it is taking the action in response to the state's investigation into a salmonella outbreak linked to alfalfa sprouts that has sickened at least 12 people in Michiganthe outbreak, although there is no laboratory test results showing that the company's alfalfa sprouts were contaminated or caused the illnesses. The sprouts were distributed to retail stores and food-service facilities with a sell-by date of October 22 or earlier.
