The following wheat allergy alert is from the FAAN and the FDA on October 23, 2009.

Unilever United States Inc. is recalling mispackaged tubs of "Breyers All Natural Cookies & Cream Ice Cream" and "Breyers All Natural Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream" due to undeclared wheat. The tubs were mispackaged with lids describing the product as “Breyers All Natural Cookies and Cream Ice Cream” and the tub portion describing the product as “Breyers All Natural Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream.” The product inside the tubs is “Breyers® All Natural Cookies and Cream,” which contains wheat. The mispackaged product was distributed through retail stores in these locations and adjoining areas: AL, AZ, DE, FL, GA, MD, NJ, NY, OH, PA, Puerto Rico, SC, TN, VA, and Trinidad. The 1.5-quart (1.41 L) paperboard tubs bear UPC # 077567254245 and in combination with “Best If Used By” dates of FEB1711GH, FEB1811GH, and FEB1911GH.
