The following Candian information concerning Israeli produce is from the COR on January 26, 2011.
Please be advised that Jaffa grapefruits and tangerines from Israel are being sold at local supermarkets. Fresh figs from Israel are still available at local retailers such as Glen Eden Fruit Market at Bathurst and Glencairn.
Finally, Shoham pomegranates from Israel are available on the market. Please note that these pomegranates may not be labeled with a “product from Israel” sticker but they should be identifiable by the name "Shoham".
This produce is subject to the laws of Terumos and Maaseros such that one must separate Terumos and Maaseros from it.
The following kashrus notice is from a reader's question and the editor's conversation with Agrexco on January 3, 2011.
A reader called me about Carmel Mangoes and whether they were from Israel. Agrexco who produces the Carmel label on produce reported to me that they are importing Mangoes to the United States only from Peru.
