The following South African kashrus alert is from the Beth Din of Johannesburg on March 30, 2011.

Please note that some labels from the Pick n Pay Kosher Butcheries erroneously include “pork casing” in the ingredient list.
This is purely a printing error. All kosher butcheries under our supervision have permanently placed mashgichim (kosher supervisors) and there is no concern whatsoever for non-kosher ingredients.
Pick n Pay has sincerely apologised for their error and has taken immediate steps to rectify it.
