Please be advised that AZAR MOUNTAIN TRAIL MIX distributed by Mount Frankin Foods (El Paso, TX), Mistakenly bears the OK pareve symbol. This product is actully dairy and should de labeled OK-D. The product has been recalled.

The following milk allergy alert is from the FDA on May 31, 2011.

The Azar Nut Company has issued an Allergy Alert on undeclared milk in Azar Mountain Trail Mix (Item#:9613896, 2/5#) with the following date codes: 10256, 10284, 10313, 10320, 10342, 10357, 11017, 11031, 11066, 11089, 11109, 11123, 11138, 11144 as the product may contain undeclared milk. The product was distributed in Florida, Montana, Colorado, California, Oregon, Idaho, Arkansas, and Texas through various foodservice distributors. It was sold in 5# plastic bags under the Azar brand with the date codes listed above sold prior to May 26, 2011. No other Azar Nut Company products are involved in this recall. No illnesses have been reported to date. This alert was initiated after the Company's own internal labeling review process identified that the Cocoa Buttons used in the mix contained Non-Fat Milk Powder and the label did not reveal the presence of milk. Consumers who have purchased AZAR MOUNTAIN TRAIL MIX SS 2/5#-Item 9613896 are urged to return it to the Azar Nut Company for a full refund or replacement.
