Supermarkets and food service purveyors are placing non-kosher products such as traife meat or non-kosher cooked foods in ads that feature Happy Rosh HaShana or such as the headline. Consumers need to check each product before purchase.
Examples of current problems:

• The Key Food circular has non-kosher items listed under the "Rosh HaShana Specials" and "Kosher Specials".
• Big Y is selling non-kosher meat under Lshanah Tovah, Happy New Year alongside the traditiona ethnic Jewish special items.
