The following Canadian health alert is from the CFIA on September 30, 2011.
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) and Fumoir Grizzly Inc. St-Augustin, QC are warning the public not to consume Grizzly brand sliced Smoked Coho Salmon described below because the product may be contaminated with Salmonella. Two lot codes of the Grizzly brand salmon, sold in 70 g packages, are affected by this alert: Grizzly Smoked Coho Salmon (sliced) UPC: 7520002010 and codes 20890115 and 20890125. This product has been distributed in Quebec. For more information, consumers and industry can call Fumoir Grizzly Inc. at 418-878-8941.
