The following South African kashrus alert is from the Beth Din of Johannesburg on August 1, 2012.
A number of Cadbury chocolates are being imported into South Africa which appear similar or identical to products produced locally. The only difference will be the place of manufacture. For example, the label on Cadbury Flake large says “made in Egypt for Kraft SA”. The imported products do not bear the Beth Din logo. Our certification applies only to products “made in South Africa” and similar products made elsewhere are not certified. For a complete list of certified Cadbury products, visit www.uos.co.za or via your mobile phone www.uos.co.za/mobi.
