The following health alert is from the ThePacker.comCFIA, foodpoisoningbulletin.com" and other sources on August 31, 2012 and FDA on September 4, 2012.

Daniella-brand mangoes imported from Mexico by Daniella-brand mangoes imported from Mexico are being withdrawn from sale in the United States because of a possible link to salmonella. Splendid Products of Burlingame, CA are being withdrawn from sale in the United States because of a possible contamination with salmonella Braenderup.
These mangos are also being recalled by Aldi, Amigos, BI-LO, Copps, Costco, El Super, Food Lion, Food 4 Less, Giant Food, Hannaford, Harveys, Kroger, LLC, Mariano’s, Market Street, Martin’s Food Market, Metro Market, Pick ‘n Save, Rainbow, Ralph’s, Reid’s, Roundy’s, Savemart, Stop & Shop, TOP Food & Drug, Topco, WalMart, Winn Dixie, and Whole Foods.

Today BI-LO announced an immediate voluntary recall on whole Daniella brand mangoes sold with a universal product code (UPC) of 0-00000-04051 in stores between July 12 and Aug. 27, 2012. The recalled mangoes, a product of Mexico, were sold as individual fruit and can be identified by the Daniella brand sticker. The product is being recalled in the states of Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee due to a potential health risk from possible contamination with Salmonella Braenderup.

The following Canadian and American revised health alert is from the CFIA on August 20, 2012 and CFIA on August 27, 2012 and CFIA on August 28, 2012 and CFIA on August 29, 2012 and FDA on August 29, 2012 and CFIA on August 31, 2012.

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) and North American Produce Sales are warning the public not to consume the Daniella brand Mangoes described below because they may be contaminated with Salmonella Braenderup bacteria.
The affected Daniella brand Mangoes, product of Mexico, were sold as individual fruit with a sticker bearing PLU# 3114, 4051, 4311, 4584 or 4959 and other information. These mangoes were sold at various retail stores between July 12 and August 31, 2012. Consumers are advised to contact the retailer to find out if you have the affected mangoes. If you have illness symptoms or any health concerns possibly associated with these mangoes, please contact your family doctor.
These mangoes may have been distributed in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Northwest Territories, Nunavut and Yukon.
The importer, Mex Y Can Trading Inc., Mississauga, ON is voluntarily recalling the affected mangoes from the marketplace. The CFIA is monitoring the effectiveness of the recall.
There have been several confirmed illnesses associated with the consumption of these mangoes.

Additional recalled products from CFIA on August 31, 2012.

The affected product, Daniella brand Mango packed by M. L. Catania Co. Ltd., was sold in a 6-pack plastic clamshell bearing UPC 0 61968 61603 0 and a Pack date. All Pack dates from 12 JL 19 to 12 AU 21 are affected by this alert. This product was repacked using Daniella brand mangoes implicated in other recalls. The original Daniella brand sticker may or may not be present on each individual mango.
The Daniella brand Mango packed with Catania label has been distributed in Newfoundland and Ontario, and may have been distributed in other provinces.
