The following kashrus alert is from cRc on August 13, 2013.
The cRc has found an increase in the number of insects present in heads of red cabbage. In response, the cRc has adjusted its policy regarding heads of red cabbage and is now requiring that the first four (4) layers of leaves be removed and discarded. The rest of the head should then be rinsed, followed by a cursory inspection to rule out obvious infestation. This policy is in force until further notice
