The following kashrus alert is from the Kof-K in response to a reader's queston on March 18, 2014.
A very limited amount of non-kosher shelf stable Cream of Chicken Soup, co-packed for Tabathchnick Fine Foods Inc and bearing the Tabatchnick brand has been illegally diverted into the retail marketplace. The non-kosher product was never intended for retail distribution. The non-kosher shelf stable soup is similar in appearance to kosher certified Tabatchnick Shelf Stable Soups however, the non-kosher soup is packaged in a 22 oz container opposed to the Kosher certified varieties which are packaged in a 32 oz size. Kosher consumers should be aware that the shelf stable Cream of Chicken soup is in fact NOT KOSHER and as such, does not carry any kosher designation.
