The following kashrus advisory is from the OU on November 23, 2015.
Beth Israel Hospital Certification Change: Effective on or about December 1, 2015, Mount Sinai Beth Israel Hospital, located at First Avenue and 16th Street, New York, NY, will offer Kosher patient meals prepared under hashgacha temidis of the OU, that will be available upon request from a separate menu for patients. Additionally, the Café will have extended hours seven days per week, and sealed kosher food will be available from a dedicated area. A kosher vending machine will also be available. The Café will no longer be OU certified. Both kosher and non-kosher foods will be available to the patients and visitors of Mount Sinai Beth Israel Hospital.
