Unger’s Pearled Barley (Quality Frozen Foods) limited to lot #26917 and #62318, has been found to be infested and should not be used without checking the product thoroughly. Measures are being taken to prevent the rampant infestation of the barley.

Packaged barley in general may be subject to infestation during the summer months, as the packages may be stored in warehouses with excessive temperatures and eggs may hatch within the package. It is therefore recommended to check all barley, even other brands and other codes.
