Yom Tov alert concerning Water Urns and Pump Pots

October 16, 2016 from the Chicago Rabbinical Council:

The cRc is in the process of researching whether one may add cold water to hot water urns and pump pots on Yom Tov. A number of these devices claim that it is permitted to add water, and thus far, our testing has shown that - in certain devices – this claim is not accurate. We recommend that cold water should not be added to any urn or pump pot on Yom Tov, absent a contrary ruling from one’s local Halachic Authority.

The Shabbos urns bearing the KLBD logo do not require Tevillas Keilim ONLY when bought directly from the supplier "Innovative Consumer Goods, Inc." in the USA or "Domestic Stores" in the UK, otherwise from a reliable Jewish Merchant who bought it directly from the supplier.
THE KLBD HECHSHER DOES NOT COVER THE USE ON YOM TOV OF THE REBOIL MECHANISM. PLEASE CONSULT YOUR RAV REGARDING THE KETTLE'S REFILL ON YOM TOV WITH COLD WATER.
