OV symbol

November 22, 2017 from the COR Detroit:

THE OV SYMBOL (a V inside an O) is the Kashrus symbol of the Vaad Hoeir of St. Louis. Unfortunately, a number of companies use the same, or a similar, symbol to indicate vegan or vegetarian status. Some examples are Campbell’s “Well Yes” soups (not Kosher), and Fresh Finds French Fried Onions sold at Big Lots. Usually there is some indication on the label that the symbol is referring to vegan or vegetarian. In case of any doubt, contact the Vaad Hoeir of St. Louis at 314-569-2770 or chana@ovkosher.org
