April 24, 2018 from the OU with additional information from the COR Detoit on April 30, 2018:
Pringles Products, Pringles, Kellogg's Snacks, Battle Creek MI:
Pringles is changing many of their OU pareve potato crisps to OU dairy. This may or may not be a result of a product reformulation. If a Pringles product is marked OUD and ingredients state 'whey' or 'milk', it is real dairy. If the ingredients don’t state ‘whey’ or ‘milk’, it is dairy equipment. The COR Detroit added (This is true even though the allergen statement after the ingredient listing states “Contains Milk & Wheat Ingredients”.) Those that have the plain OU designation are pareve. Consumers should always be careful to check for the kosher designation.
From the COR Detroit: When checking the ingredients, be aware that seasoned varieties now divide the ingredient listing into two paragraphs, “Ingredients” and “Contains 2% Or Less Of”. Some varieties list dairy only at the end of the second paragraph, e.g. BBQ [whey] and Honey Mustard [lactose].
The “Original” (unseasoned) varieties - regular, Lightly Salted and Reduced Fat - will remain plain OU [pareve].
