Sara Lee Frozen Bakery Issues Allergy Alert on Undeclared Peanuts in Pecan Pies

May 11, 2021 from FDA:

Sara Lee Frozen Bakery announced today the recall of specific lots of select Sara Lee, Chef Pierre and Devonshire pecan pies produced between March 4 and April 1, 2021, because the product may contain undeclared peanuts.

Product was distributed nationwide through food service distributors. Recalled product details are as follows and consumers who believe they have purchased recalled lot codes are urged to confirm the lot code with the place of purchase.

Bone Suckin' Sauces, Bone Suckin' Co., Raleigh NC:
The Orthodox Union certifies several Bone Suckin' sauce products. The certified products bear the OU Symbol. As a result of recent production changes, some Bone Suckin' products no longer bear the OU Symbol. Consumers should look for the OU Symbol when purchasing products.

May 7, 2020: From the COR Detroit:

BONE SUCKIN’ SAUCES normally bear an OU symbol. However, some non-certified jars of regular and Thicker Style varieties not bearing an OU were recently mistakenly sold at The Grove [One Stop].

Ed. note: From the company: Due to Covid-19 work and travel restrictions, some Bone Suckin' Sauce products were produced as non-Kosher and do not bear an OU symbol. They are back under supervision.

Check each jar for the OU symbol since both are available on the market.

Arizona Nutritional Supplements Issues Allergy Alert on Undeclared Soy Allergen in 365 Everyday Value Whey Protein Powder Natural Vanilla Flavor

Arizona Nutritional Supplements of Chandler, AZ is voluntarily recalling 13.9 oz. containers of “365 Everyday Value Whey Protein Powder Natural Vanilla Flavor” due to the potential of an undeclared soy allergen. Containers of 365 Everyday Value Whey Protein Powder Natural Vanilla Flavor were mistakenly packaged with Soy Protein Powder resulting in an undeclared Soy allergen.

The product can be identified by the UPC 9948228764, a Best By of 03/04/2023 and Lot 0073984. The affected product was sold at Whole Foods Market locations in the United States between March 24, 2021 and May 6, 2021.

Customers who purchased this product at Whole Foods Market can bring a valid receipt into the store for a full refund. Consumers with additional questions can call 1-844-936-8255 between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m. CST, Monday through Friday, or 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. Saturday through Sunday.

Israeli Sulfite Allergen Alert - Toscana Carbonated Apple Liquor

The manufacturer - Waxman group, Krakow, 31-010 Poland
The importing firm, as a precaution, asksits clients, who are sensitive to sulfites (SO2), not to consume the product -Carbonated Apple Liquor of all expiry dates until and including 4/5/21, this due to an inspection, held by the Food Service of the Ministry of health, in which sulfites were discovered, whereas they were omitted from markingthem in the product label as a component in the food additives list. Due to that, the firm asks people, who are sensitive to sulfites, not to consume the product and to return it to the shop, where it was purchased.The company acts to collect the product
