Kosher Certified Doughnuts in Atlanta

April 23, 2021: From the AKC :

Krispy Kreme: The AKC used to certify the Krispy Kreme Commissary in Atlanta which produced the Krispy Kreme donuts sold in supermarkets with 149 on the inkjet. The commissary has closed. Krispy Kreme Donuts sold in supermarkets now come from various other facilities.
The AKC can recommend that Krispy Kreme donuts coming from the following facilities with the following numbers on the packaging are certified:

Buford 056 (Mall of GA Store #56, Buford, GA)
Marietta 044 (299 Cobb Parkway, Marietta GA)
Ponce 045 (295 Ponce De Leon Avenue, Atlanta, GA)
Riverdale 042 (6689 Highway 85, Riverdale, GA)
Woodstock 315 (9420 Highway 92, Woodstock, GA)

Sublime Doughnuts 2566 Briarcliff Road, Atlanta, GA 30329 All doughnuts, toppings (excluding strawberries), sauces, ice creams, and flavored coffees are certified Kosher Dairy.

Duck Donuts 3025 North Druid Hills Road NE is AKC certified Kosher Dairy (This Store Only).

Kosher Advisory OUD Gouda Cheese

Gouda cheeses come in different varieties. One of them is called "OUD GOUDA". Consumers should not assume that OUD GOUDA cheese means that the cheese is certified by the Orthodox Union. Orthodox Union certified cheeses bear the OU D - Dairy Symbol.

Guan’s Mushroom Co Recalls Enoki Because of Possible Health Risk

April 20, 2021 from FDA:

Guan’s Mushroom Co of Commerce, CA is recalling all cases of its 200g/7.05-ounce packages of Enoki Mushroom (Product of China) because it has the potential to be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes.

The recalled products were distributed from CA, NY, PA through produce distributors or wholesalers to retail stores nationwide. The Enoki comes in a 200g/7.05ounces, clear plastic package with the description “Enoki Mushroom” in English, Korean and French, and Guan’s logo in the front. At the back, there is UPC code: 810023170303. Product code is RY3428A or RY3434A in the front bottom. The product is being shipped in a white cardboard box with 25 pcs of 200g. The box contains Guan’s logo in blue color and product code RY3428A or RY3434A.

Consumers who have purchased 200g packages of Enoki are urged to return them to the place of purchase for a full refund. Consumers with question may contact the company at 323.223.1188.

"he fast-casual, Mediterranean restaurant chain Taïm that specializes in falafel, has forgone their kosher certification in all but one of their locations. The once strictly vegetarian restaurant has multiple locations throughout NYC and Washington DC."

"This change comes in response to requests by non-kosher customers that the restaurant serve chicken (which is not kosher certified)."

"Taïm’s branches that are no longer kosher are:

Flatiron (NYC)
Financial District (NYC)
Long Island City (NYC)
Nolita (NYC)
Dupont Circle (DC)
Georgetown (DC)

Taïm’s sole branch that is still kosher (and remains vegetarian) is:

West Village (NYC)

The kosher Taïm locations in NYC are supervised by United Kosher Supervision (UKS). Its Washington DC locations were kosher certified by DC Kosher, and are no longer.
