Coca Cola in Cans, The Coca Cola Company, Atlanta GA:
The El Paso, TX and Abilene, TX canners of Coca-Cola products have retained the services of a new company to supply aluminum cans and lids. The company does not yet have the tools to emboss the lids with the OU symbol. Therefore, for several weeks cans of products from these two locations will not bear the OU symbol. The Kashrut of the products is, of course, not impacted.

From the article: "Less questions surface at the bottling facility, where the soft drink flavors are filled with filtered water sweetened and carbonated. Soft drinks are cold filled and, as a rule, are not pasteurized so the equipment does not present a problem. However, intermittent review is always necessary to maintain the kosher integrity of the finished product."
