November 18, 2018 from a Unger's Public Notice:

Unger's Pearled Barley, Unger's Chickpeas bag with Lot #081320 and
Unger's Large Lima Beans, with Lot #071120 were found with various levels of insect infestation. Unger's is issuing a voluntary recall of thse products and they may be returned for credit at the place of purchase. Unger's Pearled Barley with an inkjet best buy of 10/24/19 is not includend in this recall.
Additionally, a few bage of Cholent mix with Barley with a best by date of 5/13/20 and a few bags of Kidney Beans with a best buy date of 9/13/20 have been found iwth minor occurances of bugs. There is no recall at this time. Unger's recommends that if you are in possession of any of the about bean products they should be checked for insect infestion.

The following Raw Green Organics, Berkeley, CA 94710 products have an unauthorized use of the OK Kosher symbol:

Raw Green Organics products, listed above, bear an unauthorized OK kosher symbol. OK Kosher Certification does NOT certify this company or their products. Corrective actions are being taken.

November 16, 2018 from the FDA:

The Quaker Oats Company, a subsidiary of PepsiCo, Inc., today announced a voluntary recall of a small quantity of Cap’n Crunch’s Peanut Butter Crunch cereal due to the potential presence of Salmonella. While the potentially affected product only reached five specific Target stores and is limited to 21 boxes of one variety with two Best Before Dates, Quaker is initiating the voluntary recall to protect public health.
The recall was initiated as the result of a routine sampling program by the company, which revealed the finished product may contain bacteria.
The product being recalled was distributed in limited quantities only to the five Target stores listed below. This recall only includes 21 outstanding boxes purchased after Nov 5:
17.1 ounce boxes of Cap’n Crunch’s Peanut Butter Crunch cereal with UPC code 0 30000 6211 1 and Best Before Dates of JUL 30 19 or JUL 31 19 purchased at the following Target stores:

The Pictsweet Company has recalled 1,872 cases of Pictsweet Farms 8-ounce Steam’ables Asparagus Spears because they have the potential to be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes. The recall affects only Pictsweet Farms 8-ounce Steam’ables Asparagus Spears identified by UPC code 0 70560 97799 9 with production codes beginning with the following six digits: 2138XD and a “BEST BY AUG 1, 2020.” A photo of the package is included with this release. The following information is printed on the back panel of each package (bag) as shown below.

The states in which the product was distributed are as follows: Alabama, Arkansas, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Vermont, Virginia, West Virginia, Wisconsin and the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico.
The company initiated this recall after it was notified by the manufacturer that product suspected of containing Listeria monocytogenes was inadvertently shipped to The Pictsweet Company.

Lucky Leaf Premium Caramel Apple Fruit Filling or Topping, Knouse Foods, Biglerville, PA is missing D - Dairy Designation:
The Orthodox Union certifies Lucky Leaf Premium Caramel Apple Fruit Filling or Topping as an OU D-Dairy product. This product contains dairy ingredients as indicated in the ingredients panel. Some 9.5 lb. pails of this product were labeled with an OU symbol, without the D-Dairy designation. Corrective actions are being implemented.
