Kashrus Alert - BOL, North Miami Beach FL No Longer KM Certified

June 11, 2018 from Kosher Miami:

ffective Monday, June 11, BOL, located at 2530 NE 186th Street in North Miami Beach, FL will be sold and under new ownership. Sunday, June 10 will be the last day of KM supervision for BOL.
It is our understanding that the new owners will be shutting it down for a few days, and then re-opening up under the name Carrot Express. This is significant because there are four other Carrot Express locations in Miami that are not kosher, and it is our understanding that this location will also not be kosher.
This is not to be confused with The Carrot, which is a KM kosher certified establishment in Surfside.
The location at 2530 NE 186th Street has had various kosher establishments there for many, many years, and therefore KM feels it important to alert the public to this significant change of ownership.

Unauthorized KOF-K Look-a like and fraudulent Baltic Kosher Symbol on JSC CESVAINES PIENS Gouda Cheese in Latvia straightned out

The cheese was certified by Kosher Riga. They have agreed to change their symbols so that it does not look like the copywrited Kof-K symbol.

Unauthorized KOF-K Look-a like and fraudulent Baltic Kosher Symbol on JSC CESVAINES PIENS Gouda Cheese in Latvia

May 24, 2018 from the YeshivaWorld and confirmed by the Kof-K with an additional alert from Rabbi Glazman, the Rabbi of the Riga Jewish Community:
"KOF-K has been informed that there is Cheese is being sold in Europe bearing a symbol that closely resembles KOF-K symbol and is unauthorized and fraudulent use of the KOF-K symbol. The “look- a like” KOF-K–symbol is prominently displayed on the packaging. The KOF-K is aggressively trying to trace the origin of this Cheese packer and currently finding it extremely challenging to do so. We are appealing for the public’s help in stopping this fraudulent activity."
"If you see this product or any similar looking product, please call Rabbi Yehuda Rosenbaum, KOF-K Administrative Director, at 201 837 1967 or via email yrosenbaum@kof-k.org IMMEDIATELY with the location of the product so that further action can be taken."

May 27, 2018 from the from Kashrut of Kehillot:
"We have become aware that a yellow cheese is marketed with the Badatz kosher certification seal. The cheese is produced in Latvia and marketed by the "Balitic Dariy Products" [Baltic Dairy Products] company."
"We hereby inform you that this is a complete fraud, and legal action will be taken against the deceivers."

Kosher Alert Chef's Quality Multi Grain Tortillas

Chef's Quality Multi Grain Tortillas, RD Foodservice, College Point NY are not Pas Yisroel.
The Orthodox Union certifies Chef's Quality Multi Grain Tortillas as an OU pareve product. A limited amount of bags were printed with the words 'Pas Yisroel' on them. This product is not Pas Yisroel. Corrective actions are being implemented.
