Although 'cRc'-certified during most of the year, many products manufactured by Eli's Cheesecake are not certified during Passover. The products produced during Passover have the "cRc" logo removed or covered and are not kosher certified. Please be careful to check Eli's Cheesecake products for the "cRc" logo.

Bob’s Red Mill Natural Foods, Inc. Voluntarily Recalls Organic Amaranth Flour (22 Oz.) Because of Possible Health Risk

April 6, 2018 from the FDA:

Bob’s Red Mill Natural Foods is voluntarily recalling 2,099 cases of Organic Amaranth Flour (22 oz.), after recent testing revealed the presence of Salmonella in a single LOT of Organic Amaranth Flour (22 oz.) with a Sell By date of Nov. 26, 2015.
The recalled Organic Amaranth Flour (22 oz.) was distributed through retailers and distributors nationwide. This product and LOT was distributed in CA, FL, MI, ND, NH, NY, OH, OR, TX, and WA starting June 11, 2014 and ended shipping on August 7, 2014 The recalled product is Organic Amaranth Flour (22 oz.) with a Sell By Date of 11/26/2015, LOT: 169617, which can be found on the side of the package, near the top of the panel. UPC: 0 39978 00911 1 While this product expired in November 2015, this product was found on the shelves of one retail store, and thus Bob’s Red Mill is recalling the product out of an abundance of caution.
Consumers who have any of this affected product should not consume it and should return it to the place of purchase for credit or refund or throw it away. Other SELL BY dates and LOTS are not affected by this recall. There have been no reports of any injuries or illnesses associated with this recall. Bob’s Red Mill issued a voluntary recall for Organic Amaranth Flour (22 oz.) after recent testing revealed the presence of Salmonella in a tested sample of Organic Amaranth Flour (22 oz.) with a Sell By date of Nov. 26, 2015. Bob’s Red Mill has commenced an investigation of the source of the problem in the Supply Chain.

Salmonella Infections Linked to Dried Coconut - Advice to Consumers and Retailers

The CDC recommends people not eat recalled dried coconut. International Harvest, Inc. brand Go Smile! Raw Coconut, Go Smiles Dried Coconut Raw, Natural Grocers Coconut Smiles Organic and Healthy Nut Factory Organic Coconut Smiles have been recalled. Throw it away or return it to the place of purchase for a refund.


Health Nut Factory Recalls Organic Coconut Smiles Because Of Possible Health Risk

March 29, 2018 from the FDA:

Healthy Nut Factory of Bayside, NY is recalling 7 oz. Pouches of Organic Coconut Smiles because it has the potential to be contaminated with Salmonella.
Product was distributed and sold at retail stores in New York City and Long Island. The Health Nut Factory Brand ORGANIC COCONUT SMILES 7 OZ, are packaged in green rice paper pouches, UPC Code: 8 13449 02099 3. The expiration date 6/1/2018, is found on the back of the pouch.
The recall was initiated after we were notified by our distributor that product with expiration date 6/1/2018 purchased on 8/21/2018 might contain Salmonella.
Consumers that have purchased the Organic Coconut Smiles from August 22, 2018 through November 20, 2018 in 7 oz. pouches should return unused product to the store where it was purchased for a full refund. eBars Issues Allergy Alert on Undeclared Allergens

eBars LLC of Franklin, Tenn. is issuing a voluntary recall on its line of products that may contain undeclared peanut and/or almond allergens.
The “Use By” dates showing between June 21, 2017 through July 18, 2018 including: MAN, WOMAN, TRIM Cocoa Raspberry, TRIM Cocoa Almond, RUN Cocoa Almond, RUN Cocoa Raspberry, FOCUS Chocolate Peanut, FOCUS 4 KIDS, GOLF Chocolate Almond, GOLF Cocoa Raspberry, HEAL Chocolate Peanut, FIT Organic Peanut Butter Chocolate Raspberry.
As part of its quality control review process, eBars discovered that MAN, WOMAN, TRIM, RUN Cocoa Raspberry, RUN Cocoa Almond, GOLF Cocoa Almond, GOLF Cocoa Raspberry, referenced above may contain undisclosed peanut allergens. Furthermore, all the LOT#’s of FOCUS Chocolate Peanut, HEAL Chocolate Peanut, FIT Organic Peanut Butter Chocolate Raspberry, may contain undisclosed almond. Additionally, the FOCUS 4 Kids Bars may contain undisclosed peanut and/or almond. People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to these specific allergens run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume these products. a,br>The bars listed above were distributed through Whole Foods in Tennessee, Alabama, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia, and through Kroger in Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Mississippi, Texas, West Virginia, Michigan, Indiana, Tennessee, Alabama, Kentucky, Ohio, and Georgia. They were also distributed nationwide through ebars.com website.
The expanded recall was initiated after eBars’ quality control team discovered this issue at their manufacturing facility. Subsequent investigation indicates the problem may have arisen from a supplier whose raw ingredients tested positive for amounts of undeclared peanut and/or almonds. Consumers who are affected by this recall are urged to return the products to eBars or to the store in which they purchased the products, for a full refund. King Arthur Flour Company, Inc. Voluntarily Recalls Organic Coconut Flour (16 Oz.) Because of Possible Health Risk

King Arthur Flour Company is voluntarily recalling a limited quantity (6,300 cases) of Organic Coconut Flour (16 oz.), after testing revealed the presence of Salmonella in 1 pouch of Organic Coconut Flour (16 oz.).
The recalled Organic Coconut Flour (16 oz.) was distributed through retailers and distributors nationwide.
The only product affected by the recall is Organic Coconut Flour (16 oz.) with Best If Used By Dates of 10/25/2018 LOT: CF22017E and 12/04/2018, LOT: CF22017E which can be found on the back of the pouch, near the bottom of the panel. UPC: 0 71012 10702 5
Consumers who have any of these affected products should not consume them and should throw them away or return them to the place of purchase for credit or refund.
Other Best If Used By Dates and LOTS are not affected by this recall. There have been no reports of any injuries or illnesses associated with this recall.
