The following kashrus notification is from Kosher Miami on July 1, 2011.

Hashgacha reinstated for Prime Sushi Sunny Isles Beach and Prime Sushi Miami Beach.
Due to the fact that the issue with the violations of policies were based on the lack of responsiveness with the management of Prime Sushi, the owner has agreed to put new management in place. Kosher Miami has therefore reinstated the supervision and certification effective Friday, July 1.
Kosher Miami will continue to monitor the situation to ensue that these new changes will enable us to give a quality Hashgacha.

"Due to violations of Kosher Miami policies, effective June 17, 2011, Prime Sushi located at 18250 Collins Avenue and Prime Sushi located at 726 Arthur Godfrey Road are no longer under Kosher Miami supervision and certification."

The following health alert is from the Arutz Sheva on June 30, 2011.

A deadly outbreak of the E. coli pathogen that spread across Europe last month has been traced to a shipment of contaminated fenugreek seeds from Egypt. The seeds were apparently brought into Europe through a German importer, who then distributed the spice to others. Investigators noted the seeds are likely to still be in the marketplace, and other batches of potentially contaminated seeds are still available in the market.

The following health alert is from the USAToday on June 29, 2011.

J&J's McNeil Consumer Healthcare division is pulling one lot of Extra-Strength Tylenol caplets in the U.S. following a small number of musty, moldy odor reports which has been linked in past J&J recalls to the presence of trace amounts of "2,4,6-tribromoanisole. TBA is a byproduct of a chemical preservative sometimes used on shipping pallets. The product lot number for the recalled Tylenol Extra Strength product can be found on the side of the bottle label: ABA619 300450444271.
Customers should stop using the product from the lot immediately and contact McNeil at www.tylenol.com or by calling 1-888-222-6036 for instructions on receiving a refund or product coupon.

Please be advised that all products produced by Butterfly Bakery, Clifton, NJ are certified kosher and dairy by the Vaad Harabonim of New England. The dairy designation was inadvertently omitted from the kosher symbol on some of the products. Corrective action is being taken.

Please be advised that Sugar Free Chocolate Chip Cookies (code # 50027, 43482), produced by Butterfly Bakery, Clifton, NJ are certified kosher and dairy by the Vaad Harabonim of New England, as they contain milk product, as acknowledged on the label.
