Kroger recalls Simple Truth macadamia nuts for Listeria risk

June 15, 2017: The FDA: :

The Kroger Co. (NYSE: KR) today announced it has expanded the recall of its 12 oz. packages of Simple Truth Dry Roasted Macadamia Nuts due to potential Listeria monocytogenes contamination.
In May, we were informed by the supplier that the macadamia nuts used in this product may have the potential to be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes. Product was distributed between 12/9/2016 to 6/13/2017. Kroger has removed the following item from store shelves and initiated its customer recall notification system that alerts customers who may have purchased recalled products through register receipt tape messages and phone calls.

The recalled MacroBars and Thrive Bars were distributed across the country and internationally via retail stores, mail orders and direct delivery.
On June 14, 2017, GoMacro was notified by its supplier of almonds, an ingredient in specific MACROBARS and THRIVE BARS, that the ingredient has the potential to be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes. Kashrus Alert - Baker’s Corner Varieties of Frostings

June 12, 2017 from the OU:

Baker's Corner Varieties of frosting, Aldi Inc.:
The OU currently certifies a variety of Aldi frostings as OU Pareve, including the Milk Chocolate and the Cream Cheese frosting. These products correctly bear an OU symbol. However, the same products, (from a previous supplier) are available without the OU and are non-kosher. As the older supply is depleted, this problem will be self-corrected.
As always, consumers should check that each and every product has the OU symbol, and not assume that since one product has the OU , all of the same variety will have the OU

Action Corrective action has been taken.
