Yogen Fruz on Collins Ave, Sunny Isles, FL no longer certified kosher

May 26, 2016 from Kosher Miami:
At the request of the establishment to no longer be kosher certified, please be advised that Yogen Fruz, located at 18090 Collins Avenue, Sunny Isles, FL is no longer under KM supervision. It is our understanding that this location is remaining open, but it is NOT kosher certified.

Fresh Express Classic Garden, Fresh Express Shredded, and Dole Shredded Lettuce do not have a kosher symbol at the current time, in this area due to infestations.
Sprouts carries lettuce with Star-K certification
Publix Brand lettuce has OV certification
Please check packages for certification before buying.

From the COR Detroit: Fresh Express in the Midwest is not affected and continues to bear the Star-K.

We are proud to announce that Monday Night Brewery is now AKC certified! Any of their year round beers including: Slap Fight, Nerd Alert, Blind Pirate, Fu Manbrew, Drafty Kilt and Eye Patch Ale are now Kosher Certified whether in a bottle, can, or by draft! The beer is Kosher even when not bearing an AKC symbol.
Although regular beer does not require a hechsher, beers produced in microbreweries or that have flavors added, do. Feel free to show Monday Night Brewery that it was worth going Kosher, and that they are appreciated by the community, by buying their beer. These beers can be purchased at Kroger, Publix, and many other locations.

BROOOKLYN BREWERY BEERS: Only those Brooklyn Brewery beers that state on the individual bottle "Brewed & Bottled by The Brooklyn Brewery, Utica, NY" are K-COR Detroit certified (even if the label does not yet bear the K-COR symbol). Those that state they are brewed and bottled in Brooklyn, NY are not Kosher.

NORPAC Foods, Inc. Recalls Natural Directions Organic Mixed Vegetables, And Natural Directions Organic Green Peas, Due To Possible Health Risk

May 9, 2016: From the FDA:
NORPAC Foods, Inc. of Salem, Oregon is voluntarily recalling two (2) frozen private label vegetable items, Natural Directions Organic Mixed Vegetables and Natural Directions Organic Green Peas, because they have the potential to be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes. This voluntary action is being undertaken because the recalled products contain vegetables that were purchased from CRF Frozen Foods and are part of the recent CRF Frozen Foods recall. The recalled products are Natural Directions Organic Mixed Vegetables and Natural Directions Organic Green Peas. Additional information can be found here.
All retailers who received the products have been contacted. Products being recalled may have been purchased in the states of: AK, CA, HI, ID, MT, NV, OR, WA, and Guam.
Consumers who purchased these products may return them to the store where they were purchased for a refund, or simply discard them. Consumers with questions may call the company contact at 888-641-9349, Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm PDT.

Updated: The Pictsweet Company Notifies Consumers That Select Kroger Brand Frozen Vegetables Shipped into the Western US are Included in Previously Announced Recall

As part of the on-going CRF Frozen Foods recall, The Pictsweet Company is notifying consumers that certain Kroger brand frozen vegetable sold in Fry's, King Soopers, City Market, Ralphs, Food 4 Less, Smith's, QFC, and Fred Meyer are included in the recall announced Friday, May 6. These products were packaged by The Pictsweet Company and contain Green Beans or Green Peas recently recalled by CRF Frozen Foods due to a health risk.

The Pictsweet Company Announces Voluntary Recall of Select Frozen Vegetable Items due to Possible Health Risk

May 9, 2016 - FDA:
The Pictsweet Company is voluntarily recalling certain frozen vegetable products because they contain Green Beans or Green Peas recently recalled by CRF Frozen Foods, a Pictsweet ingredient supplier. The affected Pictsweet items were distributed nationwide through retail stores. Recalled products were all manufactured using Cut Green Beans or Green Peas. Products being recalled include “best if used by” dates in the table below and the letter “K” as the 5th digit of the manufacturing code. This information is printed on the back panel of each package. No other Pictsweet products are impacted by this recall. A list of the recalled products is here.

Health alert on Pictsweet Frozen Spring Vegetables

The Schnucks grocery chain is recalling Pictsweet brand "Seasoning Blend" and "Steamable Spring Vegetables" possible listeria contamination from chipped onions. .
