Fresh, cored pineapple recalled for possible Listeria risk

January 21, 2017 - from the Food Safety News and Lunds&Byerlys:

A grocery chain in the Twin Cities area is recalling fresh-cut, cored pineapple that an unnamed supplier has recalled because of potential contamination with Listeria.
It is not known what other retailers, restaurants or institutions may have received the pineapple recalled by the unnamed supplier. Lunds & Byerlys officials did not respond to requests for comment.
"All Lunds & Byerlys “Our Produce Fresh-Cut Cored Pineapple” with an expiration date on or before January 20, 2017, are included in the recall."

Chip’n Dipped Voluntarily Expands Recall to Include 7 More of it’s Dark Chocolate Bars Due to Possible Presence of Undeclared Milk

Chip’n Dipped of Huntington, NY, is expanding its recall of it’s dark chocolate bars to include, Dark Chocolate Almond, 63% Dark Chocolate, Dark Chocolate Pretzel, Hot Dark Chocolate Habanero, Dark Chocolate Marshmallow, Extra Dark Chocolate 72% & Super Smooth Dark Chocolate 86%. People who have allergies to milk run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reactions if they consume these products.
The recalled of the above chocolate bars were distributed to seven retail stores in NY, PA & MA.

Kosher Alert Splenda with Bonus Creamer

Splenda with Bonus Creamer, Heartland Food Products Group, Carmel IN Splenda sachets manufactured by Heartland Food Products are certified pareve by the Orthodox Union: Dairy Product Inserted with Pareve Product
Boxes of sachets with the plain OU were packed with a "bonus" creamer inside. The creamer is kosher, but is dairy (chalav stam). Future packaging is being revised.
