Clover Valley Sour Cream & Onion Flavored Potato Chips, Dolgencorp LLC, Goodlettsville TN: The Orthodox Union certifies Clover Valley Sour Cream & Onion Flavored Potato Chips as an OU D - Dairy product. This product contains dairy ingredients as listed in the ingredient and allergen statements. Some packaging was printed with a plain OU symbol, without the D - Dairy designation. Corrective actions have been implemented.

Packaged Bakery Goods - Although cRc certified during the majority of the year, certain packages of products manufactured by the following companies may have the cRc logo removed or covered during a short period after Passover. Please be careful to check those products as the cRc does not certify those specific items unless the cRc is on each package.

The following kashrus alert is from the OU on April 8, 2015.

Beech-Nut Stage 3 Cinnamon Raisin Granola, Beech-Nut Nutricion Corporation, Amsterdam NY: The Orthodox Union certifies Beech-Nut Stage 3 Cinnamon Raisin Granola when bearing the OU symbol. Some Stage 3 Cinnamon Raisin Granola were produced without the Orthodox Union’s certification and those labels do not have an OU symbol on them. Consumers are urged to look for the OU Symbol before buying products.

The following kashrus advisory is from the OU on April 8, 2015.

Reisman's Black & White Cookies, Reisman Bros. Bakery, Brooklyn NY: The Orthodox Union certifies Reisman’s Black & White Cookies. A very small quantity of those cookies were baked before Passover and were mistakenly packaged with labels that state that they were baked after Passover. These mislabeled cookies have been withdrawn from the marketplace.

The following health alert is from the FDA on April 3, 2015.

Kanan Enterprises announces the voluntary recall of macadamia nuts due to potential contamination with salmonella. The supplier of the macadamia nuts has asked us to issue this recall because it has the potential to be contaminated with Salmonella.

Peterson’s Macadamias in 16 ounce stand up pouches, were distributed only through the Peterson Nut Store in Cleveland, Ohio and King Nut Factory outlet in Solon, Ohio. The product was sold between 11/26/14 and 3/27/15. A list of affected products and code dates is listed below:

The following health alert is from the FDA on April 8, 2015.

Sabra Dipping Co., LLC announced that it is voluntarily recalling approximately 30,000 cases of its Classic Hummus due to possible contamination with Listeria monocytogenes. This measure is limited to five SKUs of Classic Hummus sold nationwide. To date, no other Sabra product is affected by this recall.

The products being recalled are listed below and were distributed to retail outlets, including food service accounts and supermarkets, in the U.S. Consumers can find code and use by dates on the top of each package.

The potential for contamination was discovered when a routine, random sample collected at a retail location on March 30th, 2015 by the Michigan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, tested positive for Listeria monocytogenes.

Consumers who have purchased any of these products are urged to dispose of or return it to the place of purchase for a full refund. Consumers with any questions may call toll free 1-888-957-2272, Monday – Friday 9:00AM to 4:30PM Central Time.

The following kashrus alert is from the OK on April 2, 2015.

Trump Vodka: Super Premium Vodka, H. Pixel Trading International Ltd., Rishon LeZion, Israel: A limited amount of 2015 issue bottles of Vodka were distributed by a third party bearing the OK logo and a sticker with the words "Kosher for Passover" printed on them. These were not produced under our supervision and are not certified by OK Kosher Certification. Product has been recalled.
OK Kosher Certification did certify a limited amount of bottles this year which were produced under special Passover supervision and carry the official OK Hologram on the label. Corrective action is being taken.

The following expanded health alert is from the FDA on March 27, 2015.

Aurora Products, Inc. is expanding its voluntary nationwide recall of certain lots of NATURAL WALNUTS and TRAIL MIXES CONTAINING WALNUTS, because they have the potential to contain Salmonella.
Product was distributed nationwide through retail stores. Product was also distributed in Canada and Bermuda.
The affected products were produced by Aurora Products, Inc. The potential for contamination was noted after routine testing by an outside company contracted by the FDA revealed the presence of Salmonella in one container of natural walnuts product. Organic walnuts are not affected.
Consumers that have the products listed below are urged to not eat it and destroy the product or return it to the point of purchase. Customers with questions can contact Aurora Products, Inc. for further information at (800)-898-1048 between the hours of 9:00AM to 5:00 PM EST Monday – Friday.
Private Label Products That Use Store Branded Labeling Include: America Choice, Belmont Market, Boiceville Market, Gaul’s Market, Green Hills Market, Harvest Co – Op Market, Hurley Ridge, Lees, Miles Market, Palmers Market, Union Market, Walter Stewart , Windfall Market and Wild Acorns.
