The following kashrus notice is from OK on April 15, 2008 and revised July 16, 2008.

OK Kosher Certification has done an extensive investigation and testing of the Nori used in Trader Joe's Oriental Rice Crackers and Norimake Crackers. Lab results and examination by an expert in "toilaim" in Israel confirm that the Nori used in the Trader Joe's products has no problem of infestation whatsoever.
We regret any inconvenience caused to consumers by our earlier kosher alert, but in this instance we felt it necessary to err on the side of caution until we could verify 100% that there was no problem with the product. Trader Joe's rice crackers will continue to carry the OK symbol on their labels.
Ed. note from the OK: The products with the blacked out OK kosher symbol are fine.

The following kashrus advisory is from OK on March 5, 2008 and revised on March 14, 2008.

Trader Joe's Oriental Rice Crackers bearing the OK symbol contain seaweed and should not be used. The product is being removed from all Trader Joe's stores, and labeling is being corrected.
Additional information from the OK based on readers' questions: This advisory is because the OK has found that the seaweed used in these products MAY have infestation problems. The OK is still looking into this, but for the OK feels that the consumer's should not use it until a clear answer is available.
