Wellness Natural USA Inc. Expands Allergy Alert on Undeclared Cashews in SimplyProtein® Peanut Butter Chocolate Crispy Bars

Wellness Natural USA Inc. of Wilmington, DE is expanding their voluntary recall of its SimplyProtein® Peanut Butter Chocolate Crispy Bar, which is sold in a 15-count variety pack that contains two other flavors, because it may contain undeclared cashews. The initial recall which included a single lot has been expanded to include all lots within expiration, the Best Before dates are indicated below. People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to cashews run the risk of a serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume these products.

The recalled products were only distributed in Costco stores nationwide in the United States.

The product comes in a 15-count variety pack which includes 5 Peanut Butter Chocolate Crispy Bars. The product is marked with a Best Before date and Lot number on the bar wrapper (UPC 6 86207 00914 7) and on the outside carton (UPC 6 86207 80906 8). The photographs below indicate the location of Best Before date markings. Any product with the Best Before date between 11 APR 2023 and 14 MAR 2024 is included in this expanded recall.


Wellness Natural USA Inc. Issues Allergy Alert on Undeclared Cashews in SimplyProtein® Peanut Butter Chocolate Crispy Bars

Wellness Natural USA Inc. of Wilmington, DE is voluntarily recalling a single lot of its SimplyProtein® Peanut Butter Chocolate Crispy Bar in the United States, which is sold in a 15-count variety pack that contains two other flavors, because it may contain an undeclared trace of tree nuts (cashews).

The recalled products were distributed in the United States in limited Costco stores in Arkansas, California, Washington DC, Kansas, Maryland, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Texas and Virginia.

The product comes in a 15-count variety pack which includes 5 Peanut Butter Chocolate Crispy Bars. The product is marked with a Best Before date of 05 Jan 2024 and Lot TN3005A on the bar wrapper (UPC 6 86207 80906 8) / Lot TN3005 (UPC 6 86207 00914 7) on the outside carton. The photographs below indicate Best Before date and lot number markings. The recall does not apply to any other Lot marking, Best Before date, or varieties of SimplyProtein® products, including the other two flavors contained in the 15-count variety pack.

Costco stores in Arkansas, California, Washington DC, Kansas, Maryland, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Texas and Virginia who are in possession of the product are urged to stop sales and distribution immediately, contain and isolate the affected lot, and contact Wellness Natural USA Inc. for verification and disposal instructions. Consumers who have purchased the impacted lot and have a sensitivity to cashew should return them to Costco for a full refund. This product and the two other flavors in the carton, which declare cashew as an allergen, are safe to consume for people who do not a have a sensitivity to cashew.

Seven Seas International USA, LLC Recalls Biltmore Smoked Sockeye Salmon Because of Possible Health Risk

Seven Seas International USA, LLC of St. Petersburg, Florida is recalling its 4 oz. Biltmore Smoked Sockeye Salmon, because it has the potential to be contaminated with Listeria monocytogene.

The 4 oz. Biltmore Smoked Sockeye Salmon was distributed only in Florida by Publix Grocery stores. The product can be identified by its production code, which is a four digit code printed on the clear vacuum bag that contains the product. The Biltmore Smoked Sockeye product is sold in 4 oz. black printed carton sleeves with the Brand name “Biltmore” printed on the front, containing the smoked sockeye product in a clear vacuum bag, the product is displayed on a gold plate. Only products with Production Code 41CM and a sell by date of 23rd May 2019 are subject to this recall, all other production codes are not part of this recall. The product carries the following UPC code: 007-36211-88774

Publix Customers who have purchased this product are being advised not to consume it and return it to the store where it was originally purchased for a full refund.

Don't Eat Raw Flour

"CDC and FDA are investigating an outbreak of Salmonella Infantis illnesses linked to an as-yet-undetermined brand of flour. Twelve individuals in eleven states have fallen ill, and three of the victims were hospitalized. Among the seven people interviewed so far, six of them reported eating raw dough or batter. Flour was the only common ingredient in the raw dough or batter."
