The Orthodox Union certifies Darion Vincenzi Chardonnay, Nuove Distillerie Vincenzi, Italy when bearing an OU P symbol and an OU holographic sticker. A small number of Dario Vincenzi wines with the OUP symbol were discovered to be missing the required OU Holograph sticker. These wines are kosher and acceptable with the following inkjet code on the back label: L. 10.03.16

Linden Cookies Issues Allergy Alert on Undeclared Milk in Mini Chocolate Chip Cookies and 3 Pack Chocolate Chip Cookies

December 13, 2016 - from the FDA:

Linden Cookies, Inc. in Congers New York is recalling fully baked Linden’s Chocolate Chip Cookies because they contain undeclared milk.
The Linden’s Chocolate Chip Cookies were distributed to wholesalers in Florida, Virginia, Maryland, Delaware, New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, and Massachusetts.
The following Linden Chocolate Chip Cookies are affected:

The recall was initiated after being notified by the bulk chocolate chip manufacturer that the raw ingredient contains undeclared milk. 

Consumers who purchased the above listed cookies are urged to return it to the place of purchase for a full refund. Consumers with questions can call Lindens at 845-268-5050 Monday-Friday, 8:00 am - 4:00 pm EST.

Best Yet Natural Butter Flavor Non Stick Cooking Spray Mistaken Use of OK Pareve Symbol

This product contains dairy as stated in the allergen warning, and is certified kosher dairy.

Brand Castle, LLC Recalls Limited Quantities of 16oz. Boxes of In The Mix® Monkey Bread Mix Due to Possible Salmonella Contamination

December 12, 2016 - from the FDA:

Brand Castle, LLC of Bedford Heights, Ohio is voluntarily recalling limited quantities of our In The Mix® Monkey Bread Mix because it has the potential to be contaminated with Salmonella.
This product is being recalled because an ingredient supplier (Valley Milk Products LLC) has issued a recall for the buttermilk powder used in this product due to the potential for contamination by Salmonella organisms found in their facility and finished product samples during an FDA investigation. Affected product was sold to a single retailer in the following states: AL, AR, AZ, CA, CO, DE, FL, GA, IA, IN, IL, IN, KS, KY, LA, MA, MD, MI, MN, MO, MS, NC, ND, NE, NJ, NM, NV, NY, OH, OK, OR, PA, SC, TN, TX, UT, VA, WA, WI. 168 cases of product (i.e., 1008 units) are affected by this recall. The product has a UPC code of 8-44527-03278-2 and is packaged in a 16oz box with a sticker on the back of the package indicating the below Lot#/Date Code. To date, there have been no reported illnesses and no Salmonella has been found in the recalled lots of buttermilk powder used in our product. This voluntary recall is being conducted with the knowledge of the US Food and Drug Administration. If consumers have any of the below listed product, they must discontinue use and discard product immediately. The product being recalled includes:

Israeli kashrus alert on Yud. Sin. Yerakot Eilim

December 13, 2016 - from the Jerusalem Kosher News. :

Badatz Machzikei Hadas (Belz) announces today that ‘gush katif’ “Yerakot Eilim” (ירקות עלים) under the brand name Yud. Sin. Yerakot Eilim are using the Belz hashgacha without authorization and the badatz does not provide supervision for this product.
The badatz has made numerous attempts but the company has ignored them to date and continues using the badatz logo without authorization.

Chips recalled for Salmonella in powdered milk seasoning

December 12, 2016: The FoodSafetyNews and PR Newswire: :

"Shearer's Foods, LLC of Massillon, OH is voluntarily recalling all products that were made with milk ingredients supplied by a secondary supplier Valley Milk Products LLC, due to possible Salmonella contamination. "
"Brands included in the Shearer’s Food recall are Deep River, Delish, Larry the Cable Guy, Essential Everyday and Market Essential." A list of the recalled products can be found here.
Shearer's Foods, LLC initiated a recall after being notified on 12/7/16 by a seasoning supplier that Valley Milk Products LLC had initiated a recall of a nonfat high heat milk powder and sweet cream butter milk powder that is used in a variety of their seasonings.
Customers who purchased the recalled product should dispose of it immediately.
Consumers with questions may contact Shearer's Consumer Affairs Department toll free at 1-800-428-6843 Monday through Friday, between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. eastern time.

Metro is recalling Selection brand Rainbow Sorbet from the marketplace because it may contain milk which is not declared on the label. People with an allergy to milk should not consume the recalled product described below.
