The following Israeli kashrus alert is from the cRc on April 19, 2007.

As in years past, most of the duty free shops at Israel’s Ben Gurion airport did NOT sell their chometz for Pesach. However, the cRc has been informed that the duty free shop located adjacent to gate D7 did indeed sell their chometz and therefore one would be permitted to make purchases from them immediately after Pesach.

The following revised change in certification is from the OK, Central Rabbinical Congress and the OU on April 20, 2007.

The Central Rabbinical Congress and the OK have withdrawn their certification of Mezonos Maven/ Lilly's Bakery, Brooklyn, NY due to kashrus violations.
It is under the certification of the OU.

The following Canadian kashrus alert is from the OU on April 20, 2007.

Wish-Bone Ranch Dressing (UPC #6840001764), Unilever Canada- Toronto, ON: This product, distributed in Canada, contains dairy ingredients as listed on the ingredient panel. The dairy designation has been inadvertently omitted. Future packaging will be revised.

The following kashrus alert is from the OU on April 20, 2007.

Oscar Meyer Lunchables Maxed Out Deep Dish Pizza UPC #44700 63044, Kraft Foods- Northfield, IL: The graphics on the packaging of Oscar Meyer Lunchables Deep Dish Pizza, a product which is not certified kosher, portray a water bottle which is a component of the lunchbox. This water bottle bears the OU symbol. Consumers are advised not to accept Oscar Meyer Lunchables Deep Dish Pizza as kosher. The product packaging has been revised.

The following kashrus alert is from the cRc on April 18, 2007.

Several packages of Kernel Season's Cajun Popcorn Seasoning bear a plain cRc. This product is Dairy (non-cholov yisroel), but the "D" Dairy designation was inadvertently omitted. Action is being taken to remove the mislabeled product from the market.

The following kashrus alert is from the cRc on April 18, 2007.

Certain packages of Fannie May individually wrapped chocolates bear a plain cRc. Although the master box was labeled as cRc D, the individually wrapped chocolates were inadvertently printed without the "D" Dairy designation. All Fannie May Chocolates are kosher dairy when bearing the cRc D or cRc logo, non-cholov yisroel.

The LVKC regrets to inform you that the Lehigh Valley Kashrut Commission has had to revoke its Kosher certification of My Boys Baking, Bethlehem, PA, effective immediately.

The following kashrus alert is from Rabbi Jason Rappapor on April 16, 2007.

The following items from President's Choice brand (there may be others) have a Hashgacha which reads:
"Under the supervision of Rabbi Jason Rappaport, Rabbi of Oslo Norway" (and then in Hebrew) "tachat hashgachat Harav Yehoshua Eliezer Hacohen Rappaport".

  • Peppered Smokey Trout Fillets
  • Honey Mustard Salmon Fillets
  • Atlantic Salmon Fillets.
Rabbi Jason Rappaport has left Norway nearly five years ago and have nothing to do with Kashrus there so there's no way these products can be supervised by me and states the following: "In fact I don't give any Hashgachas in my own name, so any product which has the label above should be treated with suspicion."
