The following sulfite allergy alert is from the FDA on April 3, 2007 .

Energy Club, Inc., Pacoima, California is recalling their Healthy California Mix, packaged in 4 ounce (UPC#01952) and 7 ounce (UPC#21952) pillow bags with header labels, and Raisin Nut Mix, packaged in 3 ounce (UPC#00964) and 7.25 ounce (UPC#01964) pillow bags with header labels, sold primarily through various convenience stores nationwide, due to the presence of undeclared sulfites. Consumers who have purchased any of these packaged treats should return them to the place of purchase. Consumers with questions may contact the company at 1-800-688-6887.

Healthy Corner Foods, 6005 16th Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11204 is recalling certain Chicken and Turkey Salads; and Turkey, Turkey Salad and Chicken Salad Sandwiches due to undeclared milk ingredients.

The following health alert was from the FDA on March 28, 2007 .

Guida Label Lowfat Chocolate (1/2% Milkfat) Half-pints, Product Code 138, SELL BY DATE APR 13, 2007. These products are being recalled because they may contain a presence of food grade sanitizer. These products were distributed in NY, CT, RI, and MA. Customers with questions may contact Guida's Dairy at 800-832-8929 ext. 550.

The following South African kashrus alert was Beth Din of Johannesburg on March 28, 2007 .

Pick 'n Pay 's Choice 100% Red Grape Juice bears an unauthorised Beth Din logo. This product is NOT kosher. Pick 'n Pay have apologized for their error and have ordered a countrywide recall of stock.

The following kashrus alert was from the CRC on March 28, 2007 .

Tropical Mix manufactured under the Grove brand, contains dairy ingredients, as stated on the ingredient panel. However, The D Dairy designation was inadvertently omitted from the package. The product is indeed certified cRc D Dairy, non Cholov Yisroel. Corrective action is being taken.

Lays Sour Cream and Onion 250g party pack bears an unauthorised Beth Din logo. This product is not kosher. Simba have apologised for their error and have removed the logo from new packaging with immediate effect.

Montana Spinach, Montana Food Industries- Tarzana, CA: A limited number of this product has been distributed while bearing an unauthorized OU symbol and is being withdrawn from the marketplace. Consumers spotting this product are requested to contact the Orthodox Union at 212-613-8241 or via email at kashalerts@ou.org.

p>The following Passover and kashrus alert was found by the editor and confirmed with the Vaad of Rhode Island and posted on March 21, 2007 .

Kashrus and Passover alert concerning an Eastside Marketplace in Providence, RI ad in the Kashrus Magazine, May 2007 Passover issue.
Only the meat department on Thursdays from 10AM to 2PM is certified as kosher by the Vaad of RI. The "Traditional Jewish Style Foods" from their Deli are not certified as kosher.
