URGENT: Nationwide Voluntary Recall of Natierra Organic Freeze- Dried Blueberry (lot # 2021363-1 & 2022026-1) Due to levels of Lead

BrandStorm Inc. announced it is voluntarily recalling 2 lots of Organic Freeze-Dried Blueberry (lot # 2021363-1 & 2022026-1) pouches because of the presence or potential presence of lead above the FDA's recommended limits; per the serving size specified on the nutritional facts panel.

Natierra Organic Freeze-Dried Blueberries 1.2oz were distributed in the United States through retail and online stores services. The issue is isolated of two batches of Natierra Freeze-Dried Blueberries with the following codes Best By Date 12/2024 & 01/2025.

Lot 2021363-1, Best By Date: 12/2024
- 1 serving, 1.2oz (34g), UPC 812907011160
Lot 2022026-1, Best By Date: 01/2025
- 1 serving, 1.2oz (34g), UPC 812907011160

The impacted product is sold in white and blue pouch with Natierra brand and Logo. The product can be identified by checking the product name, manufacturer details and lot number on the bottom right of the pouch.

Do not consume the product impacted. Consumers who purchased Natierra Organic Freeze-Dried Blueberries 1.2oz, with lot Code 2021363-1 or 2022026-1 should discard of the product. Refunds are available at the location of purchase. Returns will be provided at the point of sale through validation of lot codes on the affected pouches. What does DE mean? A DE product does do not contain actual dairy ingredients, but it is manufactured with heat on dairy equipment. DE items may be eaten after meat, but not with meat at the same time.
Many products qualify to be DE but are labeled OUD because OUD is a less confusing symbol for the kosher consumer. Also, to be a true DE product, the equipment must be properly cleaned of residue after dairy production, and that level of cleanliness is sometimes difficult to maintain and guarantee.
Please note that it is possible that the manufacturer will reformulate this product and add a true dairy ingredient. You will not be able to know this, since the OUD kosher symbol will remain the same. We recommend that you contact our office every few months to reconfirm the DE status of this product.

Kashrut Alert: Flora Raspberry Sandwich Pastries - Missing D

It has come to our attention that Flora Raspberry Sandwich Pastries, which are labeled as containing milk, do not have a D next to the KVH symbol. The product is indeed Kosher Dairy. Corrective action is being taken.

Earth Grown Shredded Dairy-Free Mozzarella, Aldi Inc., Batavia, IL:
This product is being sold in two versions, from two different suppliers, one OU certified, and one not OU certified. The kosher version correctly bears the OU, and the other version does not bear the OU. The situation is being corrected with the non-kosher version being discontinued. Consumers are always advised to verify the presence of the kosher symbol.
