Please be advised that Nature’s Garden brand of Cibo Vita Fairlawn, NJ has Wasabi Choco Mix that was mistakenly labeled with the OK kosher symbol and not the OK -D kosher symbol. This product contains dairy ingredients as stipulated in the ingredient and allergen panels. This product is DAIRY. Corrective action has been taken.

Dunkin Donuts stores, located at 1508 & 7000 Reisterstown Rd, Baltimore, MD are under the certificat,ion of Rabbi Sholom Salfer as cholov stam. For those who keep Cholov Yisroel , yet eat non-Cholov Yisroel powdered milk, it is important to note that the although doughnuts are made from powdered milk the fillings and toppings may contain real milk, which is non-Cholov Yisroel
The milk (i.e., whole, 2% and skim) used in the coffee served at these two eateries is Cholov Yisroel (excluding cream or half and half.).

The following health alert is from the FDA on January 9, 2016.

Good Earth Egg Company, LLC of Bonne Terre, Missouri has announced a voluntary recall of its shell eggs because they have the potential to be contaminated with Salmonella, an organism which can cause serious and sometimes .
The Food and Drug Administration has notified Good Earth Egg that a link has been established between eggs produced in our facility to cases of Salmonella illnesses in the state of Missouri.
In light of this investigation, and with an abundance of caution, Good Earth Egg Company has initiated a voluntary recall of all shell eggs. Various sizes of shell eggs are packaged in the following ways: 6-count cartons, 10-count cartons, 12-count cartons, 18-count cartons, 15 dozen cases, and 30 dozen cases. The dates and codes on the cartons and cases will include everything prior to and including date code 006 - Sell By 02/05/2016, under the brand name Good Earth Egg Company, license number D-01124.
The Good Earth Egg Company recalled products were distributed throughout the Midwest, including Missouri and Illinois, at the retail and wholesale level, institutions, and to walk-in customers. Good Earth eggs are sold at Dierbergs, Shop n' Save, Straubs, Midtowne Market and Price Chopper in the metropolitan St. Louis area.
Good Earth Egg Company is working with distributors and retailers to remove these products from wholesale suppliers and retail shelves. Consumers do not need to return the product to the store where it was purchased. Instead, consumers should discard any product and its container. Good Earth Egg Company will work directly with each consumer to manage replacement of its product.

The following product safety alert is from the FDA on January 7, 2016.

Milky Way International Trading Corp. today announced the recall of Nice! Mandarin Oranges in 8-ounce bottles due to potential glass in the product. The affected product was distributed to Walgreens stores nationwide and displays one of the lot numbers listed below. Consumers could potentially be cut or injured if ingested. To date there have been three complaints, and one alleged injury reported.
The voluntary recall is limited to specific production codes of 8-ounce Nice! Brand Mandarin Oranges in Light Syrup, as follows. The lot codes are located at either the neck or the lid of the glass bottles.

The following kashrus alert is from the OK Kosher Certification on January 7, 2015.

The OK kosher symbol was inadvertently placed on some labels of Nature’s Promise Hazelnut Spread with Cocoa & Skim Milk. Product was pulled from all Stop & Shop New York and New England stores; as well as all Giant-Landover and Giant-Carlisle stores.
This product is not certified by the OK.

The following kashrus alert is from the cRc on January 4, 2016 with additional information on January 7, 2016.

Effective immediately, all products from Minhas Craft Brewery, Monroe, WI, are no longer certified by the Chicago Rabbinical Council (cRc).

Additional information from the cRc in response to the editor's questions: These products did not bear a cRc. The cRc did not certify any tequila, distilled products, or flavored beer.

The following kashrus alert is from the ORB on January 5, 2015.

"It has come to our attention that the name of the O.R.B. is being used in connection with the Kashrus certification of "Kosher Grill Orlando". Restaurant staff have allegedly made statements to customers suggesting that the new supervision certifying the restaurant is somehow sanctioned and overseen by O.R.B. Kashrus personnel. To be clear, the O.R.B. is in no way connected to the newly created Orthodox Vaad of Orlando, "OVO", which has taken over the supervision of this facility. The O.R.B does not oversee any restaurant or retail establishment in Orlando."

The following chodosh alert is from the COR Detroit on December 22, 2015.

GREENFIELD NOODLE CO. has exhausted its stock of Yoshon flour, and is now using Chodosh flour. Any product that does not state Yoshon next to the expiration date is not Yoshon.
