The following news is from the DairyReporter on May 14, 2015.

Nestle is planning on modifying their Carnation Evaporated Plant in Modesto, CA because of the drought in California. The plant will recycle all of its wastewater and will not use any local freshwater in the plant. Water extracted from milk will be used for cleaning and cooling.
