November 211, 2019 - from the Specialty Food News and NY Post:
"A class action lawsuit has been filed by Philip Williams on behalf of other vegans claiming that Burger King has contaminated the Impossible Burgers by exposing them to meat byproducts on the grill, reports the New York Post. The suit was filed in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida."
"According to the suit, Williams ordered an Impossible Burger in Atlanta, where he learned the burger was grilled on the same surface as beef burgers. Williams claims the restaurant gives no indication that the burgers may be cooked on meat-touching grills. A Burger King spokesperson told the New York Post that the company can’t comment on pending litigation. "
