Reminder: The 'Kosher for Passover' section in supermarkets is not under kosher supervision. When purchasing products for Pesach from any non-supervised establishment, you are advised to check that each item bears a reliable kosher l'Pesach hechsher and does not contain kitniyot.

Many Pesach brands have similar year-round products which are not kosher for Pesach. These products can get mixed up on the shelves. Some items may also contain kitnyos and are only acceptable for Sefardim.

Chosen avocado oil and Chosen avocado oil spray are approved for Passover with just an OU. The OU does not vouch for other brands.

Please note that STAR-K DOES NOT certify any of these items for use on Shabbos or Yom Tov.
Items approved as chometz-free for 5781/2021 are listed on letters issued by STAR-K. Most items are also listed in this year’s STAR-K Pesach Directory.
March 9, 2021 from the Kof-K:
Unfortunately, due to a change in production methods in some companies in Chile involving citric acid (which is Kitniyos), the Kof-K can no longer make a blanket statement regarding fish for use on Pesach that is under their supervision.
Therefore, frozen fish under Kof-K supervision requires Passover certification on the packaging.
Exceptions: The following brands of frozen raw unseasoned Whiting and/or Salmon with regular Kof-K certification, that comes from Chile (not the USA or China), may be used on Pesach without special Passover supervision.

The Blue Diamond Blanched Almond Flour in a 1 lb bag with an OK P is currently the only Blue Diamond consumer product that the OK certifies for Passover when bearing the OK-P. The OK certifies various other Blue Diamond Flour products for Passover, but they are available only on an industrial scale.

GREAT VALUE CONFECTIONERS POWDERED SUGAR (Walmart): Some on-line pictures of this product mistakenly show a UMK-P symbol. This contains corn starch and is not Kosher for Pesach. The actual product does not bear Pesach marking.

Since they are grown hydroponically, most authorities recommend saying the blessing of “Shehakol”.
While there are differing rabbinic opinions regarding the acceptability of using hydroponically grown romaine lettuce for Marror, Many authorities permit the use of hydroponically grown romaine lettuce for Marror. Please consult your rabbi for guidance.
