The following Passover alert was from the KAJ (Breur's) on March 26, 2002

In the KAJ Pesach directory Fluorigard mouthwash was erroneously listed as acceptable. The mentioned mouthwash is NOT permitted for Pesach use.

There are products on the market for Passover that contain Kitniot. These products are suitable for Sephardim, but not Ashkenazim.

The following Passover alert was from the Kosherquest.org.
Many Kitniyos products on the market are certified as Kosher, especially from France and other European countries, are on the market this year. These Kitniyos products are often in the form of candy. Many of these products will say "LeOchlay Kitniyos".

The following products were noticed by a reader in the Passover section of an American supermarket.
The following Ethnic Delights products distributed by Aron Streit's Co. , product of Israel, state the following on the lid, Kosher for Passover, contain Kitniot:

  • Pesto Sauce
  • Garlic Aioli with Dill
  • Sundried Tomotato Morsels
  • Olive Spread

The following Israeli Passover alert was from the Rabbanut of B'nei Brak on March 21, 2002.

THIS IS AN ISRAELI PASSOVER ALERT

BADATZ issued a statement that Salit Salt labeled Kosher for Passover from this year only is NOT. After processing their salt for Pessach, they found that the machine had been used just previously to process flour. They processed a new batch of salt and it is labeled in Hebrew Kasher le'pesach yetzur meyuchad.

The following Passover alert was from the OU on March 21, 2002.

Products of the Coca-Cola Company are certified for Passover only when bearing an OUP symbol. OUP bottles of products of the Coca-Cola company have a distinctive yellow cap. However, some other varieties of non-Passover certified products of the same company may also have a yellow cap and consumers should always look for the OUP symbol on the cap.

The following Passover alert was from the Star-K on March 21, 2002.

A small production of DOLE VERY VEGGIE VALUE ADDED VEGETABLES was produced and stamped with a Star-KP. This product contains snow peas (kitniyos) and should not be used by those who do not eat kitniyos on Passover.

The following kashrus and Passover alert was from the Kof-K on March 21, 2002.

Grape Leaves, Stuffed Grape Leaves, Stuffed Green Peppers, and Stuffed Eggplant from the following brands:

  • Fiesta
  • Zorba
  • Laish Foods
These products bear an unauthorized KOF-K. These products are NOT certified by KOF-K Kosher Supervision even when bearing the KOF-K and are NOT Kosher-for-Passover, even for Kitniyot consumers.

The following Passover alert was from the Kof-K on March 18, 2002.

Joyva products bearing the KOF-K symbol are certified by KOF-K Kosher Supervision for year round use ONLY and NOT for Passover.

The following Passover alert was from the Organized Kashruth Laboratories on March 13, 2002.

Please be advised that the Organized Kashruth Laboratories certifies only the following Prigat products as kosher for Passover:


    Orange
    Mango
    Grapefruit
    Grape
    Strawberry-Banana
These products with have the words (in Hebrew) Kasher L'Pesach inkjeted on the label.
All other Prigat flavors (including all Diet products) that bear the OK symbol in conjunction with the symbol of the Rabbanut Israel, are NOT CERTIFIED BY THE ORGANIZED KASHRUTH LABORATORIES FOR PASSOVER.
However, these products are certified for Passover by the Rabbanut of Israel and will have the words (in Hebrew)Kasher L'Pesach Rabanut Belvad (Certified for Passover ONLY by the Rabbanut in Israel).
This pertains to Passover only. All Prigat drinks are certified kosher by the OK Laboratores for year-round use.

Elmer's and Ross Finger Paints contain wheat starch and should be put away for Pesach.

Bodek Oriental Blend, Bodek Kosher Produce, Inc. Brooklyn, NY mistakenly bears an OU-P and should bear an OU. The product contains peas which are kitniot and is NOT certified for Passover.
