The following Passover alert is from the OU on January 16, 2009.

TRU Nutrition TRU Chocolate, Youngevity – Chula Vista, CA: This product mistakenly bears an unauthorized OU symbol and is not certified Kosher by the Orthodox Union. Future packaging will be revised. Consumers spotting this product are requested to contact the Orthodox Union at 212-613-8241 or via email at kashalerts@ou.org.

The following health recall is from FDA on July 2, 2008

The following products were recalled by R.A.B. Food Group LLC, Newark, NJ, by letters on May 7, 2008. Firm initiated recall is ongoing. The reason is soup contains insect larvae (filth):

The following Passover notice is from the COR Detroit and confirmed by the company on April 24, 2008.

Lieber's Cherry Jel - bears Rabbi M. Weissmandl's certification and says Kosher for Passover in English and Hebrew, but above that states "Not for Passover Use". Rabbi M. Weissmandl told me 4-18-08 the latter is a mistake, and it is Kosher for Pesach.

The following Passover revised notice is from Kof-K dated April 15, 2008.

Please note that some varieties of Pepsi products which are marked kosher for Passover did not have the corn syrup removed from the label. IN FACT THERE IS NO CORN SYRUP IN IN THE KOSHER FOR PASSOVER PRODUCTS.
In addition the only Pepsi products that are certified for Passover are those with the KOF-K and KP on the label or cap. Color coding is not an indication of Passover certification

The following Passover notice is from the KAJ on April 18, 2008.

"Our Rabbininate reaffirms the kashrus integrety of the romaine lettuce grown in greenhouses in Mexico, under the Merinda label, and in Eretz Yiroel, under the Aeli Katif label, when the packaging bears the KAJ emblem.
When instructions for washing and rincing as stated on the label (or bags) are followed, the product may then be consumed withou any further checking."

The following Passover alert is from the KOAOA (Half Moon K) on April 17, 2008.

Bagged Romain Lettuce in 3-pound bags under the Taylor Farms brand name, sold in Sam's Club stores have recently appeared with our Half-Moon K symbol on the label. The use of our symbol on these bags is unauthorized. KOAOA (Half-Moon K) does not endorse romain lettuce due to the concern over insents that may be left on the produce after washing in the factory.
