When shopping in the Kosher for Passover aisle, it is crucial to verify that each product is in fact Kosher for Passover. One year, a local supermarket displayed a Lipton pareve chicken flavor consomme powder on the Kosher for Passover shelves but upon examination the package did not state that it was actually Kosher for Passover. Another local store had all of its year-round non-Kosher for Passover Matzah boxes on the Passover shelves. Yet another had "heimishe" chametz pretzels in the Passover section!

Jason Brand Kosher for Passover Panko Crumbs with a Best Buy Date of Dec 20 2023 has been found to be infested and should not be used. Consumers with other expiration codes should examine the container for holes or other obvious signs of infestation.
