The following Passover alert is from the Rabbi Mayer Kurzfeld of the Star-K with additional information from the Chug Chasam Sofer on April 10, 2012.

Country Pie and Pastry Chocolate Souffle distributed by Beigel Bites USA, Inc. under the certification of Chug Hasam Sofer has been seen at a Star-K Passover program with the following problem. The outer box says kosher for Passover and the ingredient list on the inner box is the year-round label listing wheat flour.
At this time we are not sure if this product is mislabeled or chometz. Because of the seriousness of cometz do not serve until clarification.

4/10/12: The Chug Chasam Sofer is advising pending final research, do not use these products. Return the goods to provider.

The following Passover alert is from the OK on March 20, 2012.

Please be advised that 25 lb bags of Andean Natural Organic Golden Royal Quinoa, Specialtiess Commodities, Inc. have been distributed with stickers bearing an unauthorized OK Kosher for Passover symbol. This product is not ceritfied by OK kosher Certification. Corrective measures have been taken.

The equipment in Kemira ChemSolutions b.v., Tiel, the Netherlands, a company certified by the OU, has temporarily lost its Pesach status. The products below should be considered “Kosher - Not for Pesach” until further notice.

Please be advised that Sodium Stearoyl Lactylate produced by Niacet inc., located in Niagara Falls USA, was mistakenly marked as certified for Passover. This product is NOT Kosher for Passover (can contain Kitniyos) while it is Kosher for non-Passover use if a BVK letter is presented specifically for this product. ALL LOCs for Niacet Inc. must be dated May 2010 - December 2010 to be viable.
