The following dairy allergy alert is from the FDA on November 21, 2014.

Kozy Shack Enterprises, LLC is voluntarily recalling certain items of its Foodservice Kozy Shack® Simply Well® Chocolate Pudding 4 oz. cups because they contain undeclared milk and lack product labeling.
The recalled product was distributed through foodservice distribution channels and not sold in retail stores. Product was distributed to 20 states: Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia and Wisconsin.
The product comes in a small, clear 4 oz. plastic container and contains a yellow lid with the Kozy Shack logo on it. The carton in which the product was shipped is identified with the following information:

The recall was initiated after it was discovered that the milk-containing product was distributed without complete labeling.
Customers who have purchased this product are urged to discontinue use of the item and return it to the place of purchase. Kozy Shack will work with customers to collect the product.

The following health alert is from the Barfblog and Lundberg on November 16, 2014.

Lundberg Family Farms is voluntarily recalling specific bags of Brown Rice Flour because they have the potential to be contaminated with Salmonella.
The recalled Eco-Farmed Brown Rice Flour (UPC# 0 73416 00550 1) and Organic Brown Rice Flour (UPC # 073416 00500 6) were distributed in retail store bulk bins, and 25lb bulk bags, between November 4th and November 12th, 2014 in the following states: CA, HI, MA, AZ, NV, and through mail order.
The affected 25lb bulk bags contain the following lot numbers 141027, 141028, 141029, 141030 located on the bottom seam of the bag.

The following health alert is from the FDA on October 15, 2014.

Wholesome Harvest Baking, Inc. ("WHB"), formerly Maple Leaf Bakery, Inc., of Chicago, Des Plaines, IL is initiating a voluntary recall of frozen in-store bakery Jalapeno Bagel based on reports of foreign material (glass pieces and stones) in product. The products are frozen jalapeno bagels sold under the Maple Leaf Bakery brand in three different sizes: 3 oz. (64 bagels/case), 4 oz. (78 bagels/case), and 4.5 oz. (72 bagels/case). 342 cases of 3oz. bagels (Publix), 1,791 cases of 4oz. bagels (Tim Horton's), and 6,925 cases of 4.5oz. bagels (Generic) have been recalled.

The following peanut allergy alert is from the FDA on October 17, 2014.

United Natural Trading LLC dba/ Woodstock Farms Manufacturing, Edison, New Jersey are recalling 22lb. bulk cases only (Lot# YOUI03) and Market Basket 12oz. tubs only (Lot# 14248) because they may contain undeclared peanuts.
The 22lb. bulk cases of Asian 7 Rice Cracker Mix, Lot # YOUI03 were supplied to Woodstock Farms from Suzhou Youi Foods Co., Ltd, No. 15 Dongyuan RD, Jinting Town, Suzhou City, Jiangsu Province, China and distributed in Florida and Wisconsin.
The Market Basket 12oz. tubs of Asian 7 Rice Cracker Mix, Lot# 14248, Best By 9/5/15, UPC# 04970540898 were supplied to Woodstock Farms from Suzhou Youi Foods Co., Ltd and distributed in the MA, VT, CT, RI, ME.
The recall was initiated after a customer reported to us that they found a peanut fragment in the closed case of product at their facility during re-packing. Upon investigation it was discovered that the 22lb. original bulk cartons supplied to us from Suzhou Youi Foods Co., Ltd had contained a peanut fragment. Subsequent investigation indicates the problem was caused by failure to do proper allergen cleaning and training of personnel at Suzhou Youi Foods Co., Ltd.
Consumers who have purchased the 12oz. Market Basket tubs are urged to return them to the place of purchase for a full refund. Consumers with questions may contact the company Monday – Friday 9AM – 5PM EST at 800-526-4349.
