The following dairy allergy alert is from the FDA on May 28, 2015.

The Popcorn Factory of Lake Forest, Illinois is voluntarily recalling 600 4oz bags of "Lite Works Dill Pickle Popcorn," (the "Product") because it may contain undeclared milk.
Product was distributed nationally in Burlington Coat Factory retail stores.
The Product comes in a 4oz foil bag. A 5 digit lot code is printed along with the best by date just above the price sticker located on the lower left of the backside of the bag. The lot code of the recalled product is 15111, the best by date is SEP 17, 2015. .
The recall was initiated after it was discovered that the wrong food product ingredients were packaged in the foil bags during production. Subsequent investigation indicates the problem was caused by an error in the company's production and packaging processes.
Consumers who have purchased the 4oz bag of Lite Works Dill Pickle Popcorn with lot code 15111, best by date SEP 17, 2015 are urged to discard the product. Consumers with questions may contact The Popcorn Factory at 1-888-238-8107. Customer Service is available Monday through Friday, 9am - 5pm CST. Customers who purchased the recalled product may contact The Popcorn Factory for a replacement.

The following Candian insect infestation alert is from the CFIA on May 29, 2015.

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) is conducting an investigation into the presence of Iron Cross Blister beetles (Tegrodera spp.) in imported leafy vegetables following recent consumer complaints of these beetles in pre-packaged salads. There have been no confirmed illnesses or injuries associated with the consumption of these products.
Fresh produce can harbour insects that may be injurious to consumers, but this is rare. The Iron Cross Blister beetle is very distinctively coloured, with a bright red head and bright yellow markings on the wings, separated by a black "cross". This particular beetle should be treated with caution as it may release an irritating chemical called "cantharidin". This chemical may cause blisters at the point of contact.
Consumers are advised to wash and visually inspect their leafy vegetables thoroughly. The beetle should be removed without touching or crushing it. If found, please advise your local CFIA office.

While most Mt. Dew products are acceptable as kosher even without a kosher certification on the label the Mt. Dew Kick Start Energy Drinks are an exception as they may contain added kosher sensitive ingredients such as white grape juice. As such, only those cans of Mt. Dew Kick Start Energy Drinks that bear a reliable kosher certification on the actual can should be considered as certified kosher.

Falcon Trading Company, Inc./SunRidge Farms of Royal Oaks, CA announced that it has taken the precautionary measure of voluntarily recalling the one bulk item mentioned below. This item was distributed to the East Coast on May 7, 2015.
The product may contain very small stainless steel wire, the kind and type used in the screening process during manufacturing.
Consumers who have purchased the items mentioned below should return it to the retail store where they purchased it for a full refund. If they have any questions, they should call Falcon Trading Company's customer service at 1-831-786-7000.
