The following information has been received from the
Orthodox Union and posted on November 17, 1997
Eagle Brand Sweetened Condensed Milk is certified as kosher
and dairy by the Orthodox Union. However, two of the products are
mislabeled. The whole milk variety has an OU which should be an OU-D.
The Low-FatEagle Brand Sweetened Condensed Milk is
also certified as kosher by the Orthodox Union even without the OU-D
on the tabel.
The following information has been received from the
Orthodox Union and posted on November 14, 1997
Dannon Lite Yogurt with a "K" is not certified as kosher by the
Orthodox Union and does not meet the standards of the Orthodox Union.
Only the Fanta flavors listed on the Acceptable
Soda List on Kashrut.com are certified as kosher. Some of the new flavors
are not yet certified as kosher.

Fanta Sodas: Blueberry, Bubble Gum, Cherry Limeade, Clear
Cherry, Fruit Punch, Ginger Ale, Pink Bubble Gum, Red Cream,
Root Beer, Very Strawberry, Watermelon, Wild Cherry,
Lemonade, Sour, Tonic Water
Only the bottles of Hellman's Fat Free Honey Dijon which bear
the OU symbol are OU certified.
Other Pas Yisroel consumer products: Empire Pizza Bagels, H &
S Rye & Pumpernickel Packaged Breads, Kemach, Leiber's, Reisman's,
and Manischewitz Tam Tams.
The following Star-K products and/or establishments are Yoshon:

Carmella Frozen Pizza Crusts (whole wheat pizza crusts are not Yoshon)

Most varieties of Celestial Seasoning Teas bear a Star-K and are
Pareve. However, some teas contain non-Cholov Yisroel dairy components
in the flavoring and bear a Scroll-K Dairy (Denver Vaad Hakashrus). The
dairy varieties are:
Cinnamon Apple Spice
Detox AM
English Toffee After Dinner
Laxatea
Vanilla Hazelnut After Dinner
Vanilla Maple
Smucker's Jams, Jellies and Preserves in most varieties are now
under the OU supervision only when bearing the OU symbol. Smucker's Simply
Fruit products are not kosher approved.
Hershey's new Jellybeans are not OU approved and are not
recommended
The following information was received in a fax from
Kof-K on August 29, 1997.
Please note that Alliant Brand/ Allied Bakers Sliced Marble Swirl
Bread is erroneously labeled Kof-KD. The Bread is PAREVE and
not Dairy. The labels have been corrected.
The following information is from a newspaper advertisement
on July 18, 1997.
KITOV BRAND BAKED CHEESE CURLS 10 oz. size has an incorrect ingredient
legend. The product is PAREVE and does not contain any Dairy ingredients.
The printing error is being corrected.

Apple & Eve Brik Pak containing twenty-seven assorted box
drinks may contain a mixture of Kosher and non-Kosher products. Check each
box for the OU symbol. A complete list of certified beverages is available
on the Recommended Soda and Beverage List.
The following information was received by e-mail and
confirmed by telephone from the Orthodox Union, on June 13, 1997 in response
to numerous consumer queries.
Mars has applied for O.U. certification for a number of its products.
At this point Twix is certified kosher and may be purchased without
the O.U. certification on the wrapper. (ed. note: The Twix certified by
the OU is made in the US and is certified kosher and dairy)
In the future Mars Bars, Milky Way Dark and Milky Way Lite will
be certified kosher. However, it should be purchased only when bearing
the O.U. symbol. (ed note:see below) Three Musketeers and Snickers are
not certified by the OU.
