  Please be reminded that Dole products are only OK certified when bearing the OK symbol ink-jetted on the bags per approved batch.

  Only bags ink-jetted with the OK P symbol are certified for Passover.

• April 7, 2022 from the OK Twitter:

  A limited quantity of Dole Creamy Coleslaw Kit was mistakenly labeled with the OK P symbol. While the cabbage is approved for Passover, the enclosed sealed dressing packet is NOT approved for Passover. Corrective actions are being taken.

Sugar

• From the OU Passover Section posted March 30, 2022:
  White Granulated Sugar and Brown Sugar: Due to the increasingly common use of Passover questionable processing aids used in the manufacture of sugar, OU Kosher has decided to limit the brands recommended for Pesach use, to those with the OUP symbol.

  Please consult the OU Passover guide or check the OU Passover product search for a complete list.

• April 4, 2022 from KVH Kosher: Sugar mmay be made using enzymes with may have traces of chometz which are batul. Buy before Passover
• February 22, 2022: From the Vaad of Buffalo responding to a question from the editor: All BVK certified brown or plain sugars are fine for Pesach even without a "P".
  Rest assured, if any OU certified granulated sugar was used in a Pesach product, (post-facto) those foods may still be considered kosher for Passover.
• Domino Sugar is available in stores with and without a P. From the OK: " We would not be able to advise regarding use of products on Passover that do not have the OK P symbol." A list of OK certified sugar products is here.
• Coconut Sugar (from the editor April 7, 2022): I do not know of any Passover usable coconut sugar. If you know of any please contact me at editor@kashrut.com.

Sugar Substitutes

• From the OU Passover Section:
  The following sugar substitutes are available with an OU-P or OU Kosher for Passover:
  • Gefen Nutrataste Gold Sweetener (sucralose)
  • Gefen Sweet’N Low
  
  Although Splenda brand sucralose is found in OU-P products, it is not available for consumers.

March 31, 2022 from the OU:

Simply Popcorn, New England Pretzel, Lawrence MA has an unauthorized OU P:
The Orthodox Union does not certify Simply Popcorn's popcorn in bags. Some bags bear an unauthorized OU P kosher for Passover designation. This product is mostly sold in Massachusetts. Corrective actions are being implemented.

The product was seen at Market Basket.

March 20, 2022 by the OU:

Sonny & Joe's Hummus (foodservice 30 lb. containers only), Sonny & Joe's, Brooklyn NY has an unauthorized OU P:
The Orthodox Union certifies Sonny & Joe's Hummus as an OU Kitniyot product. Some 30 lb. foodservice containers were mistakenly labeled with an OU P mark, instead of the OU Kitniyot mark. Corrective actions are being implemented.

March 29, 2022 From cRc:

Please be advised that, based on updated information from OU, the recommendation for certain varieties of Gerber Baby Food products which we have listed in our Pesach Guide as acceptable, apply only to products sold in glass jars. The listed products when sold in plastic tubs/containers may contain chametz and should not be used on Pesach.

The modified recommendation is as follows:

Gerber Baby Food (when bearing the OU symbol) IN GLASS JARS ONLY

• Green Beans – kitniyos
• Squash
• Peas – kitniyos
