Wilton Brands of Naperville, Illinois announced today a voluntary national recall of all lots of six sprinkles products and one kit containing affected sprinkles, because they may contain undeclared milk.

This recall is being initiated because of one reported allergic reaction to date associated with one of the recalled products. Wilton is recalling all affected products with a similar formulation.
Consumers who have purchased these products should immediately dispose of them or return them to the place of purchase for a full refund.
These products will be removed from shelves at several retailers and distributors nationwide. A full list of retailers that have carried this product can be found at www.wilton.com/recall.

Hu Products announced today a nationwide voluntary recall in the United States of a single production lot of the Hu Chocolate Covered Hunks - Sour Goldenberries Product (4 oz. bag) because some packages may contain undeclared almonds that were inadvertently added to the product during manufacturing.
This recall is limited solely to the Hu Chocolate Covered Hunks - Sour Goldenberries Product (4 oz. bag), which was sold in retail stores and online in the United States. No other Hu products are affected, and this recall does not affect products in countries other than the United States.

We became aware of this issue as a result of a consumer contact. No reports of adverse reactions due to consumption of this product have been reported to the Company to date.

Consumers should contact the company at 888-389-2224, Consumer Relations specialists are available Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Central. This recall is being conducted with the knowledge of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.

Effective immediately, Rita's of Staten Island Mall, Store #1370, located at 2655 Richmond Avenue, Staten Island, NY, 10314 is no longer certified by STAR-D Kosher Certification.
July 8, 2020: From the Star-K:
Due to popular demand, Rita's of Coney Island, located at 1327 Surf Ave., Brooklyn, NY, near the boardwalk, has renewed its Kosher certification and is certified STAR-D Kosher.
Please note that the Rita's of Brooklyn-Flatbush located at 1324 Coney Island Ave., Brooklyn, NY, between Ave. I and Ave. J, remains under the certification of the OU.
June 29, 2020: From the Star-K:
Rita's of Coney Island, located at 1327 Surf Ave., Brooklyn, NY has not renewed its Kosher certification and is no longer certified by STAR-D Kosher Certification.
March 31, 2016: From the OU:
Effective March 31st, 2016- The Orthodox Union will no longer be certifying Rita's Coney Island, located on Surf Avenue in Brooklyn.
Yeahthatskosher.com reported that they are now under the Star-D.

Nestle Nerds Candy in Israel, Nestle USA, Arlington VA; Allbrands Importer Israel has an unauthorized OU Sticker:
The Orthodox Union does not certify Nerds candies. The product packaging does not bear an OU symbol. A sticker with the Allbrands Importer Israel name wrongly states that Nerds are certified by the Orthodox Union. Consumers should not rely on any sticker indicating that a product is certified by the Orthodox Union without verifying with the Orthodox Union that the product is certified.

Organic Bittersweet Chocolate Chips sold by Z Natural Foods are Kosher - Dairy Equipment. A limited number of labels were inadvertently missing the DE designation. Labels have been corrected.

FinerFin Tuna - Mexicana flavor, RSM Global LLC, Orangeburg NY is Not Bishul Yisroel.
The Orthodox Union certified various FinerFin Tuna products as OU Bishul Yisroel products. The FinerFin Mexicana variety with a code date that includes "2022" is NOT Bishul Yisroel, even though it is labeled with the words "Bishul Yisroel". Corrective actions are being implemented.

Rough translation: "Peach-flavored Fuse Tea made by Coca-Cola Bottlers, Republic ofGeorgia (as in the country, not Atlanta) bears an unauthorized hechsher of Machzikei Hadass Belz Badatz; that hechsher provides no oversight for any beverages from that factory."
"Rabbinate approval false as well. As is common, the problem is on the import label. The importer is being fraudulent. (just pointing out that the factory isnt claiming to be certified kosher, just the importer is)"

Rough translation: "It's currently too hard for badatz mashgichim in the Far East to check every single fish in the factory, so for now Badatz will no longer hechsher tilapia fillets, unless it contains some skin so you can easily ascertain it's a kosher fish."
