Israeli Health Alert - Jerusalem Olives and Olive Oil Marketing Ltd.

An announcement from Jerusalem Olives and Olive Oil Marketing Ltd.: Upon inspection by the Food Service in the Central District Public Health Bureau it was found that labeling on bottles of 1 liter lighting oil and 4 liters mixed oil is false and may be misleading to the public.

While the label indicates that the product contains vegetable oil, we are to clarify that the vegetable oil is refined soy oil only. We will take it upon ourselves to correct the labeling indication to make it clearer. It is important for us to clarify that this oil is refined soy oil.
The error is in the labeling. We commit to recall the oil from shelves and to take back any bottle to be returned by customers. You may contact us at 09-7493450: Jerusalem Olives and Olive Oil Marketing Ltd.

Israeli Health Alert - "Neviot-Teva-Hagalil" wishes to inform its consumer public: Traces of mold were found in a small number of mineral water bottles, volume of 1.5 liters.

The bottles are labeled with "Best Before" dates 15.11.2021 and manufacturing codes 151120099 and 151120109. Anyone of possession of a bottle from those specified above is urged not to consume it and to call our customer service center at 1800-224-041 in order to arrange for its return and to receive another product in its place. The Company is taking actions to recall the product.

South African Yoshon Bulletin

This is due to supplier mixing up the flour delivery and will be rectified ASAP.

Kashrus Alert - Oreo Decorated Cakes at Jewel on Howard and Kedzie in Evanston, IL

October 1, 2020: From the cRc:

Cakes being sold at the Jewel on Howard and Kedzie in Evanston, IL are labeled OU Pareve, Pas Yisroel. Some cakes were decorated with whole, Oreo brand cookies instead of a brand that is certified as Pas Yisroel. Oreo cookies can be identified by the Oreo name imprinted on the cookie. Corrective action was taken. However, for those who are careful to only eat items that are Pas Yisroel, please be sure to check your cake and remove the Oreo cookies before eating the cake.

Israeli Health Alert - SupHerb Aloe Vera Drink

In the notice published on the 17.12.2020, an error has occurred in the batch number (the number included the letters SU when it should have been S only). The correct batch numbers are those listed in this notice, which replaces the one from the 17.12.2020.

SupHerb announces that in a test performed as part of the internal quality assurance system of the factory, Pseudomonas aeruginosahas been found in some of the bottles of the dietary supplement –Aloe Vera Drink from the following batches:
200801S7312 and 200802S7312, best before: 08.2023
Barcode: 7290014545694

The bacteria Pseudomonas aeruginosamight harm primarily persons with a weakened immune system.

We are currently working to recallthe products, and are asking consumers who have purchased the product, from the aforementioned batches only, not to consume the product and to contact the company's customer service(*2535) in order to return the product and receive a replacement / full refund. Addressing the matter is done in coordination with the Food Service at the Ministry of Health.

It is important to note that you may continue using the Aloe Vera Drink products with batch numbers others than the ones mentioned.

To be clear, this does not apply to the company’s other products, which maykeep on being consumed without fear.

Kashrut Advisory - Various Rita's in Florida

December 24, 2020 - From the Star-D: The following establishments are now under Star-D certification:

December 15, 2020 from Kosher Dairy Miami:

Effective December 14, 2020, Rita's of Hialeah and Rita's of Collins Avenue are no longer under KDM certification. (It is our understanding that they will be under the auspices of a different certification agency.)

This is not to be confused with Rita's of Coral Springs which remains under KDM certification.

Kashrus Alert - ChallahConnection.com

December 19, 2020 from the Kashrus Magazine:

"The www.challahconnection.com send gift baskets and food items which they claim to be kosher, pas yisroel, etc. Unfortunately, these products are not kosher-certified by any kosher certification. A KASHRUS Magazine readers received a "Kosher Basket" which had no certified products. She arranged for a replacement. The company sent the exact same products a second time. It contained a note instructing the packers to put in only kosher-certified items, but none were. KASHRUS advises not using this company's services."
